China boasts the world's largest population of Snow Leopards. Spanning an area of 1.1 million square kilometers, its territory provides a habitat for more Snow Leopards (approximately 2,000 - 2,500) than any other region globally.Dulan is an excellent place to watch wild animals. Located on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, it has a unique plateau ecosystem, providing an ideal habitat for numerous wild animals. Most of the rare species found on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau are distributed here. People can not only admire the graceful postures of these rare animals, but also feel their agility and vitality as they live freely in the natural environment, and experience the beauty of harmonious coexistence between humans and animals. It has great appeal for those who love nature and wild animals.

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Xining, Qinghai – Airport pickup and hotel check-in. Settle in and acclimatize to the high-altitude environment.
Day 2: Xining to Snow Leopard Habitat – Journey. We drive to the Snow Leopard habitat; en route, we pay a visit to Przewalski’s Gazelle habitat.
Day 3–7: 5 Days in Snow Leopard Habitat – Immerse yourself in the wilderness as you track the signs of snow leopards and search for these elusive cats with expert guides. Along the way, the plateau's diverse wildlife is equally rewarding. You may also encounter other fascinating members of the cat family, such as the Eurasian lynx and Pallas's cat, as well as other species that share this habitat, including the Tibetan fox, wolf, chiru, and kiang.
Day 8: Return to Xining
Day 9: Departure – Airport transfer.

A trip to find a snow leopard is one of the more challenging tours available in China. Our team will go to a remote area over 4,500 meters in elevation, where no restaurants or hotels are open. We will use camping gear, including tents and sleeping bags, because of the harsh road condition and possibly heavy snow in winter or even spring.

As with any wild animal, you can never guarantee that you can see a Snow Leopard. However, our skilled team of professional guides has the experience and local resources that will give you a much better chance. We would say there is an approximately 80% chance.
